Bridging Borders, Building Health

"Medicine is not just science. It is the art of showing up fully for people at their most vulnerable."

Born and trained in Nigeria, I earned my MBBS and practiced clinically before pursuing a Master of Public Health in the United States. That journey deepened my commitment to equitable, community-centered care. I bring a rare combination of hands-on clinical experience, population health expertise, and entrepreneurial drive.

As the founder of Maxona Healthcare Solutions in Nigeria, I built systems that connected underserved patients with quality care, proving that I do not just treat disease but design solutions. Now based in the United States, I have continued that mission through my work at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where I serve as a Process Executive in Quality Assurance and Audits, navigating complex healthcare systems from claims adjudication to quality analytics.

As Care Coordinator at Maxona Care in Cedar Falls, Iowa, I lead in-home care for a caseload of 30+ clients, developing personalized care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing caregiver recruitment, training, and compliance across HIPAA, state licensure, and Medicaid waiver requirements. I implement data-driven improvements including telehealth integration and proactive risk management to reduce readmissions and elevate care quality.

My clinical observership at Hunter Integrative Medicine, PC in Waterloo, Iowa grounds me in the day-to-day realities of US primary care, sharpening my readiness to serve whole patients, whole families, and whole communities as a Family Medicine resident.

Committed to Family Medicine

My commitment to Family Medicine is rooted in a clear vision: to serve underserved communities, reduce health disparities, and build care models that reach patients wherever they are.

🤱
Maternal Health Equity
Maternal mortality disproportionately affects communities of color. My OB background positions me to make a direct, measurable difference in maternal outcomes.
🌱
Growing Communities
Rapidly growing regions face acute primary care shortages. I am trained and eager to build long-term patient relationships that prevent costly downstream disease.
🏘️
Strong FM Programs
I am drawn to programs with a strong culture of Family Medicine as a backbone specialty — one that values continuity, community, and comprehensive care.
🌍
Global Health Lens
Having practiced in Nigeria's resource-limited settings, I understand the resilience and creativity required when systems are stretched. I bring that perspective everywhere I work.
📊
Data-Informed Care
My MPH and analytics background means I approach patient populations with epidemiological precision — identifying disparities and designing targeted interventions.
🏗️
Healthcare Builder
As a founder, I have a proven ability to build systems, not just practice within them. Residency is where I will merge those instincts with rigorous clinical training.
